Pictures of my daycare setting.
In caring for children, not only do I concentrate on teaching, but also provide a warm, nurturing environment.
I stay in tuned to the baby's cues, picking up, holding, comforting, feeding, changing and interacting.
The baby's social, and emotional attachment to the caregiver is very important.
Bonding and basic trust are the basis for human emotional, and social development in early infancy.
Visual development: a baby's development is promoted by having bright colored toys, faces, and movement of objects.
Language development: talking to the baby helps the baby learn basic sounds and thus promote the beginning of language development.
Holding baby: helps the baby bond and trust the people that will care for it, and meet its needs.
My play environment for the infants is clean, soft, helps promote developmental stages, and has a lot of space for the infants and I to interact daily.
Cribs are used strictly for napping , and are not used to confine infants, or toddlers.
Interested pictures, patterns, toys and equipment are provided for children in my care.
